Salted caramel pecan energy balls



Serves: 15-20 balls

Prep time: 15 mins

Setting time: 30 mins

Difficulty: easy






  • 2 cups of pecans
  • 1 cup of pumpkin seeds
  • 2 tablespoons raisins
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • Sprinkle of salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons coconut oil



  • Add all of the ingredients to a food processor
  • Whizz up until a coarse paste begins to form
  • Once whizzed into a paste rome from the blender and shape into individual balls – get stuck in and use your hands
  • Line a tray with some tin foil and add the balls to it
  • Place in the freezer for 30 mins to set
  • They can either be stored in the fridge for up to a week, or kept in the freezer and individually defrosted as and when you need them.

These balls are my mum’s snack time favourite at the moment. They are a great sweet hit, and are an excellent snack to go with your morning coffee instead of reaching for a cake or biscuit. The pecans are an excellent source of healthy fat and energy, making these balls a great super charged snack.
